Janet is real, approachable and enthusiastic as she shares from her heart and from the Word of God. God has challenged her to go deep in her relationship with Him and to lead others on their faith journey, using the attributes of the octopus as a unique and profound word-picture. Who would have thought?!
Janet lives by the verses in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ("Be joyful always, pray without ceasing and give thanks in all circumstances.") and has a passion for prayer and for encouraging women to be all that God intends for them to be. Biblically based and well researched, Janet's presentations encourage and inspire women nationally at women's retreats, seminars, conferences and special events.
A wife, mother, and Christian women's speaker, Janet is also the women's ministry director at Arizona Community Church in Tempe, Arizona. She is also the author of Putting the Pieces Together: A Christian Woman's Guide to a Successful Home-Based Business and the Octopus Faith® audio CD Bible study. She has written articles for Christian Community newspaper, P-31 Woman, and Obadiah Magazine and has been a guest on CTN Christian Television Nashville, Q96 Christian Radio, WBCL Radio Network Ft. Wayne, KPNX Channel 12 News, Sonoran Living and CBS 5 News. A graduate of the national Proverbs 31 Ministries Speaker/Writer Conference and the Advanced Speak Up With Confidence, Janet has spoken for dozens of groups, associations, retreats, conferences and churches.
Janet has been married to her high school sweetheart, Mark, since 1982 and they have two awesome young adult children.
Statement of Faith:
- I believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
- I believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son - God in human flesh - was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, died on the cross for our sin, was buried, rose physically from the dead, and ascended into heaven.
- I believe everyone who accepts Christ as their Savior receives the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit who acts as a comforter, guide, and advocate on our behalf. God gives gifts to both men and women through the Holy Spirit for the benefit of service to Christ and the ministry of the church.
- I believe that God has revealed himself in the Bible (Old and New Testament) - the only inspired, inerrant, and authoritative word of God.
- I believe that all people have been created in the image of God but possess a sin-nature that separates them from God until they receive Christ.
- I believe that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith become children of God, forgiven for all of their sin and irrevocably promised eternal life in heaven. God offers this assurance in his word only to those who have accepted his unconditional love and forgiveness in Christ.
- I believe that Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead and introduce the eternal state in which all who have received Christ in this life will spend eternity with God.
